Description
SunSaver 20 Amp, 12 Volt Solar Charge Controller with LVDThe Morningstar SunSaver PWM (pulse width modulation) type controller is rated for a maximum of 20 amps and 12 volts DC. It can also be used for running a load directly from the batteries without the risk of dropping the battery voltage too low. The built-in LVD (low voltage disconnect) will disconnect the load if it detects a low battery voltage in order to prevent any damage to your battery bank.Morningstar's superior series switching provides many advantages compared to shunt controllers. Series regulation reduces FET heating and lowers voltage stress on the power FETs. A series configuration also improves protection against lightning surges and reduces switching noise. The series design improves charging accuracy. In PWM, series switching becomes self-correcting for temperature and system voltage drops.Need help determining how many of your solar panels that this charge controller can handle?
